First Week of School

I thought I would update everyone on my first week of school. Nothing too exciting happening yet. I managed to get behind in homework already, but I have used the weekend to actually get just a smidge ahead. The two English classes I'm taking, Rhetorical Theory and Practice and Early Women Writers, sounds like they are going to be a blast. Between those two classes and Human Values, I'll be up to my armpits in reading, but hey, what else does an English major have to do?? :):)

I am about to embark on my biggest crocheting project to date. I'm starting a ripple-stitch afghan for our Queen size bed. Big job! I know I'm supposed to be reading up for grad school, but I need to give my brain a little break. Time for a little crocheting and movie watching!

>Never choke in a restaurant in the South.....
>
>Two hillbillies walk into a bar. While having a shot of whiskey, they talk about their moonshine operation.
>
>Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, "Kin ya swaller?" The woman shakes her head no.
>
>"Kin ya breathe?" The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.
>
>The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up the back of her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.
>
>The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the hillbilly walks slowly back to the bar.
>
>His partner says, "Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver', but I ain't never seed nobody do it!"

The town I live in has a population of around 500. A good percentage of the folks are over the age of 60.
